We are the Serveri ry, an association of students of computer science at the University of Eastern Finland.

For more information about our organisation, please see the organisation section. The membership register is managed by a maintenance officer and a secretary.
If you become a member, we will store the information you provide for the purpose of the membership register. (We will never store your payment card details.) Our membership register includes students at the Kuopio campus of the University of Eastern Finland who have expressed their willingness to become a member by paying the membership fee.
The membership register is based on the consent of the person himself/herself and the requirement to maintain a membership register in accordance with the Associations Act. The data is used to communicate activities, mainly for contact purposes, for example in the form of an e-mail list. Any changes will be communicated at board meetings.
The source of the data is the information provided by the user.
Only technical cookies are used. We do not mine data to "improve content". If you find any technical deficiencies or would like to suggest an improvement, please inform the administrator or the board.
We record log information about visits to the website including IP addresses, time of day and other possible server-side analytics. This information is used for security monitoring and to prevent potential malicious activity. Log information may be shared with authorities. Logs are deleted starting with the oldest, so that the most recent year's events are stored.
The backend system of our email list is maintained by the University of Eastern Finland. The data in the membership register is processed by the Board of Directors. We will not share your data with third parties unless one of the following conditions is met:
We keep log information as needed, up to a maximum of two years, usually one year.
We do not keep membership register history, i.e. outdated information is deleted when a request for change is received by the Maintenance Officer, Secretary or Board.
You may request deletion, updating or copying of your data from the administrator. As a general rule, information in the membership register will be kept as long as it is up to date.
We use the necessary security measures to protect your information. We will not transfer your data outside the borders of Finland. At the time of writing, most of the data stored is located on the servers of a commercial service provider in Tuusula. Our service provider is responsible for physical security. Our service is protected against automated attacks so that data protection takes priority over data accessibility. We strive to use widely peer-reviewed, free software at the server end and to check the security settings for security, preferably by at least two people, one of whom is the maintainer.
